Winter Storage Protection Kit

The four things that stop vinyl, canvas and rubber from coming out of storage cracked, faded or mildewed. This is the kit we put on our own 22-foot Chaparral and the Sea-Doo the weekend before they go under the cover.

What's in the box

• 303 Marine Aerospace Protectant, 16 oz — UV blocker for vinyl seats, dashboards, rubber trim and the Sea-Doo's seat. Wipes on, doesn't leave a greasy film.
• 303 Marine Fabric Guard, 32 oz — re-waterproofs the bimini, snap cover and mooring cover so water beads instead of soaking in and growing mildew under the tarp.
• Meguiar's Extreme Marine Vinyl & Rubber Protectant, 32 oz — the second coat for high-wear spots: bow seats, swim-platform pads, fender covers.
• Meguiar's Water Magnet drying towel — so you're applying protectant to a dry surface, which is the step most people skip.

How to use it (about 90 minutes)

1. Wash and let everything dry completely. Damp vinyl under a cover is how mildew starts.
2. Aerospace Protectant on every vinyl and rubber surface. Two thin coats on seats.
3. Fabric Guard on canvas and the underside of the cover. Let it cure 6 hours before covering.
4. Vinyl & Rubber Protectant on the bits that get sat on and stepped on.
